SMPC Promotes Three
We are pleased to share the promotions of three valued team members. Alejandro Garcia and Anthony Alvidrez have been elevated to Associate, and Giusseppe Mavroleon has been promoted to Senior Associate. Each has contributed meaningfully to our work and culture, and we are excited to recognize their continued growth within the firm.
We asked Alejandro, Anthony, and Giusseppe to reflect on their experiences and what this next step means to them.
Alejandro Garcia
Associate
Alejandro’s growth has been shaped by his hands-on experience in construction administration, where close collaboration with colleagues and project teams has deepened his understanding of how design is realized in the field. Through this work, he has come to value architecture not only as a design discipline, but as a means of supporting communities. He sees the spaces we create as opportunities for people to grow and thrive. As he continues on the path toward licensure, Alejandro is focused on expanding his knowledge and contributing further to the firm in his role as a future licensed architect. His advice to those starting out is simple: stay curious, ask questions, and remain engaged with both the history and evolution of design.
Anthony Alvidrez
Associate
For Anthony, architecture is fundamentally about people and collaboration. His experience at SMPC has reinforced the idea that successful projects are the result of shared ideas and coordinated effort. As he steps into his new role, he is eager to take on greater ownership in the design process while continuing to learn from those around him. He is particularly interested in understanding how projects come together holistically—from early concepts through delivery—and contributing to that process through thoughtful problem-solving, clear communication, and attention to detail. Anthony encourages those entering the profession to stay passionate and to embrace collaboration as an essential part of meaningful design work.
Giusseppe Mavroleon
Senior Associate
Giusseppe brings a unique perspective to his role, shaped by his background in business operations and finance. While not a design professional, his work supports the broader success of the firm, and he sees value in contributing from a different vantage point. With a personal interest in real estate and experience in residential renovation and development, he offers insight that bridges operations and the built environment. Giusseppe also emphasizes the importance of SMPC’s culture, noting the support and collaboration he has experienced across the firm. As he reflects on his time here, he expresses appreciation for the people and environment that make SMPC a meaningful place to work, and looks forward to contributing to its continued growth in the years ahead.
