In Carlsbad, New Mexico, SMPC designed a new Chevrolet dealership to replace an outdated facility and reestablish the brand’s presence in the region. Situated on a remote but highly visible site, the project delivers a modern and efficient automotive environment that strengthens Chevrolet’s connection to its customer base while maintaining full compliance with corporate design standards.

The new dealership is constructed using a durable metal building structure clad in ACM metal panels and stucco, achieving both cost efficiency and brand-aligned aesthetics. SMPC collaborated closely with Chevrolet’s design team to coordinate necessary exceptions to corporate standards, ensuring the facility fit seamlessly within the constraints of the existing site. The result is a contemporary architectural expression that reflects Chevrolet’s identity while responding to local conditions.

Inside, the dealership supports full sales and service operations within a streamlined plan. Twelve service bays accommodate a range of vehicle maintenance and repair needs, while showroom access allows vehicles to be displayed indoors year-round. Complementary spaces include administrative offices, a customer lounge, covered outdoor parking, and a parts warehouse—together creating a cohesive and customer-centered experience.
