AMERICAN AgCREDIT

Roswell, New Mexico

The new American AgCredit Roswell branch office (previously Farm Credit of New Mexico) is a modern, progressive space that reflects the organization’s commitment to serving the agricultural community.

One distinguishing feature of the building is a large multipurpose room dedicated to internal and community uses. The room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, making it a valuable resource for the local community. In addition to it’s function as a conference room and training area, the multipurpose space also supports American Ag’s dedication to agricultural youth programs and community events including the 4-H club, Girl and Boy Scouts groups. It is a place where people can come together to learn, grow, and build a better future for agriculture.

The facility supports a modern progressive office space dynamic but is grounded in the company’s Agricultural farming roots and community within the context of southern New Mexico. The use of familiar materials from the natural grasses in the landscaping to the exposed wood and metal siding on the interior and exterior help ground the building.

As part of the cost control, cost estimates were developed during each project deliverable during the design phase.  At the request of the client, SMPC worked with the General Contractor to create a list of value engineering opportunities once the bid award was completed.  This list was then evaluated by the design team and the American AgCredit to decided which items to move forward.
