“Teach our children well.”
Peggy Favour, IIDA, AIA
Principal Emeritus / Licensed Interior Designer / Architect
As a college student, Peggy journeyed from New York to the Southwest seeking uncharted trails ultimately finding home in New Mexico. With interior design specialization, Peggy joined SMPC in 2007 and became a principal in 2011. She strives to empower staff, committed to the collective effort that elevates each role, and dedicated to operational strategies that benefit the firm. Peggy is inspired by the expression of pattern as in the work of Navajo weavers, Baroque composers, the artists of the Bauhaus Weaving Workshop, the quiltmakers of Gee’s Bend, and by the authors of A Pattern Language. She advocates that as design professionals we are keenly aware of social inequities and disparities, and in owning accountability we can work towards identifying the means to foster inclusion and wellness in the places we create.
