“Architecture is the principle of design that meets functionality and aesthetic for the needs of today and tomorrow”

Alejandro Garcia

Intern Architect

Recent graduate Alejandro never intended to be an architect up until his first semester of university; he has always imagined himself pursuing animation. However, after developing an interest in architecture, he decided to make it a career.

You can still catch Alejandro drawing landscapes, people, buildings or making small art projects. As a kid, Alejandro grew up in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico before settling in Albuquerque where he considers his hometown. Alejandro is a first-generation student; the first in his family to graduate from a four-year university. During his time at the University of New Mexico, Alejandro participated in multiple student activities such as AIAS, AIAS: Installations, and UNM SA+P ambassadors.

Currently Alejandro is at the University of New Mexico, achieving his Master of Architecture degree and is expected to graduate in Spring 2023. He plans on becoming a licensed architect focused on the southwest region and hopes to work on international projects as well.
