SMPC celebrates four major project milestones in three remarkable weeks, including grand openings for Bernalillo County Fire Station 36, the Transportation Systems Technology Center at RioTECH, and CNM Film & Digital Media and the New Mexico Media Arts Collective at the Albuquerque Rail Yards.
Albuquerque Public Schools celebrated the opening of the new Duranes Early Childhood Center, the district’s first campus dedicated entirely to Pre-K and special education Pre-K programs. The new center gives the longtime Duranes school site a renewed purpose while expanding access to early childhood education for Albuquerque families.
SMPC partnered with Saranam and ECOTerra to renovate the Frances Thaxton Ash Family Center, supporting families experiencing homelessness through community-focused spaces and services in Albuquerque.
Community members and project partners gathered to celebrate the opening of the new La Montañita Co-op at Avanyu Plaza in Albuquerque’s North Valley.
CNM President Tracy Hartzler and Instructor, Chair and Coordinator of the Art Department Lynn Johnson spoke at the ribbon cutting for the new home for CNMs Art program, the recently renovated and re-purposed KC Building.
